Two Blue Ash Companies Honored at Annual Growth Awards.

Each year the Chamber’s Cincinnat­i USA Partnership recognizes firms that have made a significant invest­ment in the region during the past year. On March 25, 2008 Blue Ash-based Sogeti and Omya Industries were honored along with nine other regional firms at the Partnership’s Annual Growth Awards and Luncheon.

Sogeti USA is a provider of information technology services to businesses and public-sector organization worldwide. Sogeti employs 290 people locally was recognized for hiring 102 full-time employees in 2007 and for their forecasted growth of an additional 100 full-time employees in 2008. Sogeti has been in Blue Ash over two decades and is currently the region's largest IT consulting firm.

Omya Industries, a Swiss-owned white minerals company, was recognized for their investment in the region. In late 2007 Omya announced their plans to move their Vermont headquarter operations to Blue Ash and to create 66 full-time jobs. John Suddarth, Vice President of Human Resources said, “We appreciate the Partnership and the City of Blue Ash recognizing our company today.
